Burn City Rollers
The Burn City Rollers was founded in August 2008 to provide a flat-track roller derby league for the women of Eastern Alabama and Western Georgia. The league is skater owned and operated — the work of maintaining the league rests entirely on the shoulders of its six volunteer committees and its steering committee, run by team members and referees. The Burn City Rollers is still seeking members to help fill out the roster so that they can hold in-league scrimmages, and will currently field a travel team to bout with other leagues throughout the Southeast.

The Lee County Humane Society is a 501 (c)(3) organization located in Auburn, AL. Formed in 1974 to rescue stray and unwanted animals in Lee County, the LCHS has grown to provide many services for county citizens. The Louise Kreher Forest Ecology Preserve features 15 trails spanning 4 miles through 110 acres of habitats. Attractions include a butterfly garden, turtle pond, and a hidden waterfall as well as the The Frank Allen Turner Amphitheater — a 100 seat multi-level meeting area with restrooms, wheel chair ramp, drinking fountain, and fire pit. The Preserve offers regularly scheduled programs presented by professionals in their fields who highlight ecological themes.

The Market at Ag Heritage Park
The Market at Ag Heritage Park is an open-air farmers’ market held each Thursday, 3 to 6 p.m., during the spring and summer growing season at Ag Heritage Park on the Auburn University campus. The Market offers locally produced fruits, vegetables, honey, ornamental plants, herbs, cut flowers, stone-ground grains, eggs, goat cheeses, goat milk soaps, baked and canned goods, and Alabama-roasted coffee. In addition, it often features the work of local artisans, educational booths, and musical entertainment. The Market is open to the public and everyone—from Auburn University employees and students to local residents and tourists of all ages—is welcome.
