Thanks to Off Beat Auburn for keeping Sundilla alive for me. When I left Auburn for a much bigger city, I thought I would have my choice of “Sundillas” to choose from. I was wrong. Now that I’m no longer close enough to attend Sundilla concerts, I realize what a treasure Auburn has. I just hope enough people who still live there continue to support Sundilla. They say you never know how good something is until you lose it. I lost Sundilla because I moved, but I’d hate it if Auburn lost Sundilla because nobody supported it. Maybe one day I’ll be able to move back, and if I do I hope that Sundilla will still be there too.

I read the headline and said “There must be two Jeff Blacks in the music biz, because there is NO WAY that anybody as good as the Jeff Black I know would ever come to Auburn; he’s WAY TOO GOOD.” Then I look at the picture and listen to the podcast, and sure enough, it’s him.

So I wanted to make sure I got tickets and went to the Sundilla Concerts website, and got my second shock of the day. TERRI HENDRIX is next?!?! And RANDALL BRAMBLETT is on the schedule too?!!? There are music clubs in big cities that can’t get a line-up like that!
