* Barn Owl ReleaseBarn Owl Release

Time: 6:30 pm

Although one of the most widely distributed species of owls, the Southeastern Raptor Center does not see the Barn Owl as frequently as other common owl species. The Barn Owls to be released at Town Creek Park were healthy fledglings from Georgia that were mistaken for orphans and brought to the Raptor Center for rehabilitation. Come see these beautiful birds that are known by many names because of their appearance, call, habitat, or eerie silent flight: White Owl, Ghost Owl, Barnyard Owl. Presented by the City of Auburn Parks and Recreation Department and the Southeastern Raptor Center, part of the Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine. Contact 844-3698 or 501-2936.
