I have to admit, I never expected to spend 24-hours keeping an eye on my email for updates on snow-related cancellations in Auburn and Opelika. It was a shame John Flynn couldn’t get out of Delaware for the Sundilla Acoustic Concert Series. We’ll keep you posted on the date that concert is rescheduled.
There are a lot of new entries on the Calendar for the remainder of February and on into March. The Auburn University Department of Music presents many faculty and guest recitals. In addition to their upcoming production of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Auburn University Theatre presents a student-adapted and directed production of the classic Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing.
If you’re interested in receiving a weekly email update, check out the new Newsletter link up above.
Finally, we’re less than a week from the Grand Opening of Mama Mocha’s in The Gnu’s Room. Owner Sarah Benett and I have been trading emails and phone calls and I hope to have a podcast interview with her up early in the week.
As ever, thanks for reading and supporting all that is offbeat and alternative in our community!
