Every so often I try to describe a performer to someone, but describing just doesn’t cut it in the music world; most artists must be experienced. Joe Crookston is like that. I could tell you how I sat with a roomful of people at the Folk Alliance a couple of years ago, and how we were all mesmerized; and I could tell you how almost all of us followed Joe down the hall so we could hear him perform again as soon as that first set ended– perform the exact same songs, mind you– but that still wouldn’t be enough. Sundilla Acoustic Concert Series presents Joe Crookston at the Auburn Unitarian Universalist Fellowship (450 E. Thach Ave.). Showtime is 7:30 p.m. and admission is $10, $8 for students, and free for children 12 and under. Free coffee, tea, water and snacks are provided and you are welcome to bring whatever food or beverage you prefer.
